Pakistan Income Enhancement Fund ( or the "Fund") reflects the Fund's medium-risk profile. The investment objective of the Fund is to deliver a return from an aggressive investment strategy in the debt and fixed-income market. At the end of Jun'23, the Fund had allocated ~60.9% in T Bills, ~19.8% of cash in banks rated AA+ and above, ~9.8% in PIBs and ~7.7% in TFCs/Sukuks, while the remaining ~23% was invested in other avenues. The Fund remained compliant with the criteria of assigned rating; maximum 25% in A rated avenues. The WAM of the Fund stood at 438 days at the period ended Jun'23; exposing the Fund to credit risk. The duration of the Fund was 153 days at the end of Jun’23, exposing the Fund to interest rate risk. As of Jun'23, the unit holding pattern of the Fund was ~47.39% representing top ten investor concentration; limiting the exposure to redemption pressure.
Going forward, the Fund may alter its allocation with banks and take a diversified exposure in term deposits and spread transactions keeping in view the market expectations. Material changes in the Fund's asset allocation strategy, impacting its credit quality and/or exposure to interest rate risk, would affect the rating.

MCBIM holds licenses for Asset Management, Investment Advisory, and Pension Fund Management.
