AL Habib Income Fund (or the "Fund") is a medium-risk profile Fund. The Fund had allocated ~76% of its net assets to Banks, mainly AAA-rated banks, ~6% of its net assets to government securities whereas ~18% of its net assets to TFC, Sukuk. The duration of the Fund increased to 15 days (Dec'21: 07 days). The WAM of the fund also increased to 235 days (Dec'21: 196 days) exposing the Fund to credit risk. However, since the investment is titled more towards, Government securities, hence credit risk is at a manageable level, The main reason for the increase in WAM was investing in government securities. The unit holding pattern of the Fund was highly concentrated where ~80% were represented by the top 10 investors.
Going forward, material changes in the Fund's asset allocation strategy, impacting its credit quality and/or exposure to interest rate risk, would affect the rating.
